Someone has Paid It Forward

Someone sent you this. That's all it means.

No one has been told anything about you, and nobody has decided anything on your behalf. A friend, or a nurse, or a doctor thought this might be useful and passed it along. Whether it is or isn't is entirely up to you.

What's on offer

Baby Planner SG keeps a small number of supported places each month. They're paid for by other families — some of whom bought postpartum support and didn't use all of it, some of whom just wanted to.

A supported place might be someone who comes to your home for a night whom you can trust to look after your baby so you can sleep. Or it could look like help getting feeding sorted out. Or it could just be someone who holds space for you to talk and think through your options ahead, despite how nothing seems to have gone according to plan since baby joined the family.

It could also be a private prenatal class if the baby hasn't arrived yet. Or just someone experienced to message at 3am, for as long as you need it.

There's no cost to you. It's not a discount, nor a payment plan, nor a lead magnet for a future purchase. It's completely free to the recipient because someone else has paid for it in full.

Who it's for

Mothers in Singapore who'd benefit from postpartum support and aren't in a position to book it. That's the whole criterion.

It might be concerns about money. It might be that you have no family here, or that the people around you aren't the people who can support you right now. It might be that you're managing, technically, but only just.

You don't have to be in crisis. You don't have to prove anything, send us anything, or explain yourself. If you're reading this and wondering whether you count — you count. Just ask, and if we can support you, we will.

What we'll ask you for

Your name, how to reach you, roughly when your baby is due or arrived, and what would help most.

That's it. We won't ask about your income, your savings, your relationship, or your diagnosis. We're not assessing you.

Who finds out

Nobody.

Not the friend who sent you this link. Not your doctor. Not the families whose contributions pay for it — they're told how many places were filled, never by whom.

Being honest about what we can do

There are a small number of places each month, and one person doing the visits. Sometimes there's a wait.

If we can't offer you something soon, we'll tell you straight away rather than leaving you wondering, and we'll say when we might be able to. If we think someone else could help you faster, we'll point you there or with your permission, arrange for that person to contact you instead.

If you need more than we can give

We're a stayout confinement nanny or postpartum doula service. We're not doctors, and we're not mental health professionals. Some things need proper clinical care, and there's no shame whatsoever in that — postnatal depression and anxiety are common and very treatable.

Whether or not you hear from us, these are worth knowing about:
